Dodgers News: Angels Appealed Decision in Near No-Hitter

Dodgers fans are probably going to be talking about the near no-hitter by Tyler Anderson for a while. The southpaw tossed 8.1 hitless innings last week against the Angels before Shohei Ohtani laced a triple down the line. But it was a masterful performance.

Dave Roberts left his guy in there for 123 pitches, which really hurt when news broke about a scoring change. The official score was updated to reflect a base hit in the 7th inning by Jared Walsh. It was originally scored as an error when Anderson spiked the ball past Freddie Freeman.

But according to the LA Times’ Jack Harris, that appeal came at the request of Walsh and the Angels.
